This is no tour around a wildlife sanctuary. Instead, we head to one of a number of areas where you are likely to see wild kangaroos and possibly some native Australian birdlife. Our friendly knowledgeable guides aka ‘our kangaroo whisperers‘ are the best there are and will convey you to the Blue Mountains or Outer Sydney or further afield where we normally see many kangaroos, playing, eating, sleeping, etc. On some tours, we have seen over 100 kangaroos in the area on one day. These are wild animals in their natural surrounds. Depending on the day and how they are approached, you may see them lying on the ground, grazing, fighting, bounding away, playing, and generally enjoying themselves. Please note that at times, we will upgrade you to the Urban Kangaroos tour at no extra cost at our discretion. At other rimes, we will take you to see Wallabies (a smaller species of kangaroo).

Departure Point

Traveler pickup is offered

Departure time is dependent on your pickup location and time of sunset. Normally it will be between 1:45pm and 5:30pm dependent on sunset and where the kangaroos are likely to be found. EXACT PICKUP TIME WILL BE ADVISED ON CONFIRMATION.

Bring your cameras. It is an advantage to wear enclosed shoes and long pants.

    • Pickup from your Sydney based accommodation • With your private tour guide, journey to an outer Sydney or Blue Mountains location where you are likely to see as many as 40 kangaroos. Your guide will explain some of the more interesting behaviours of the kangaroo. • Travel back to your pickup location or optionally another city, North Sydney or Parramatta location (from Parramatta you can take a boat ride along the Parramatta river - ferry tickets are not included). Native birds will often be seen (including sulphur crested cockatoos, kookaburras, rosellas, rainbow lorikeets, magpies, etc).

  • If child is less than 8 years, you must inform us prior to the trip so that we have a child seat with us and the tour can take place. This is a legal requirement.
  • All travelers must sign a waiver of liability prior to commencement of the tour. This is an insurance requirement.
This experience is non-refundable and cannot be changed for any reason. If you cancel or ask for an amendment, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

    Very friendly and informative. Could not have had a better time and if we return, well definitely request Bruce again. I highly recommend this tour and please request Bruce. We saw over 200 Kangaroos!

    Was a great tour. Saw exactly what we were looking for-kangaroos!!! Bride was very knowledgeable about kangaroos and we learned a lot!

    En privattur för tre; vi visste inte vad vi kunde förvänta oss, men med tanke på priset hoppades vi förstås få se ett antal vilda kängurur. Och det gjorde vi, det var överväldigande att få se så många och på så nära håll. Vår guide Bruce bidrog mycket med sin kunnighet och behagliga sätt! Bästa utflykt på mycket länge????????????
