This was a fantastic walking tour. Our guide, Steve, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. His passion and enthusiasm for the village was infectious, and it really rubbed off on the rest of the group. I learned a lot on this tour, and it impressed me how Steve asked everyone at the start what we were interested in, and tailored the tour to suit everyone’s interests. He also asked me a lot of questions about my life, as well as others, and was really friendly and professional. He also gave me some fantastic recommendations for food and jazz, which I actually followed up on and had a wonderful time at Smalls bar and Hamburger America! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting NYC for the first time (like myself!)

Steve was great, explaining recent and older history in Greenwich Village. He was honest and frank about how residents were affected with the changes over the years. He gave us an insight into how a local experiences Greenwich Village

Today, we joined 4 others, for a small tour with Steve. We met at 1:15 and were moving out before 1:30. Steve is a decades long resident of Greenwich and his knowledge was expansive and relevant. He took the group interests to mind as we moved through our 2 mile walk. We learned about the Jefferson Market Library, NYU, Washington Square highlights, places for snacks and meals, Jones Avenue and the Bob Dylan/Joan Baez connection, ending at the Stonewall National Monument, where we learned about the sobering “riots” of 1969 ~ a very solid tour that both my husband and I would recommend to anyone, young or older!
