Half-day heritage tour that follows the rugged and once treacherous Skippers Road. Travel the road that was hacked by hand into the sheer cliff sides of the Shotover River Valley. As your experienced guide navigates the awe-inspiring canyon, you can relax and enjoy numerous historic sites along the journey, including a century old suspension bridge and the township of Skippers. Gain an insight into the local heritage through photos and relics in the restored schoolhouse before trying your hand at gold panning.

Friendly, transparent, professional - amazing day out! Great team, great communication from confirmation email to drop off in town. Appreciate the fact that they were up front with changes to the trip required by weather/road conditions beyond anyone’s control - changes that made the trip even better! Perfectly executed trip with the right mix of conversation/information to make the drive fun and informative. 10/10… highly recommend!

This was an incredible tour! The views were spectacular and there was so much snow which we were not expecting. It seriously was a white wonderland! We were so very lucky to get Jenny as our tour guide. Jenny was so amazing and really knowledgeable about the areas we visited. She was extremely careful and drove very safely in some hairy situations. I recommend this tour with Jenny as your tour guide 100% Kylie
