  • Please be aware that Milford Sound is a 5 hour drive from Queenstown (one-way with sightseeing stops). This is a full day excursion, and including the 2 hour cruise on the fjord, allow approximately 13 hours door to door.
  • There is an option to include a packed picnic lunch. The default choice is chicken, however you can request a vegetarian lunch until 5pm the day prior.
  • Please bring a reusable waterbottle on tour with us. There are multiple locations to refill during the day.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Our driver and guide was Chelsea. Chelsea was very knowledgeable about the area as this is where she grew up, she gave us a running commentary about the history and sights on the way to Milford Sound. There were several stops on the way with some excellent photo ops. The boat trip around Milford Sound was highlight (this is through a third party) The boat wasn't overloaded and there was plenty of room to move around. Chelsea's driving was second to none (I think she has done that drive before!). It was really nice day out, I would highly recommend Altitude Tours for the Milford Sound Day trip

The scenery on this tour is just out of this world!! this place has been kissed by God!! Chelsea our tour guide and driver was fantastic!! Very informative and entertaining and her knowledge of the area was second to none!! Great driver, felt very safe with her as she knew the roads well as she grew up in the area!! Certainly recommend Altitude tours, very organised and efficient and Milford Sound is unbelievable!!
