Join us on this unique walking tour through the northern part of Nicosia, Europe's last divided capital. Since the end of 1963, the GREENLINE has separated the northern and southern parts of the city. This tour is the perfect addition for travelers spending their main holiday in the southern part of Cyprus, offering a glimpse into the life, stories, and hidden gems on the other side.
Nicosia is a rich tapestry woven from Byzantine, Crusader, Venetian, Ottoman, Armenian, British, Greek, and Turkish influences. The history of the 20th century must be viewed against the backdrop of Cold War conspiracies, which shaped the island’s modern fate.
Our guides are excited to share their city and its stories with you in a relaxed and entertaining way, while presenting its complex and tragic history in the most neutral manner.

The Arabahmet Mosque, Nicosia, Cyprus The Arabahmet Mosque is situated in the Arabahmet Quarter, one of the historic and prestigious neighbourhoods within the walls. This quarter in the western part of the city of Nicosia used to be the centre of culture and business during the Ottoman and British eras. Apart from the mosque, this quarter is now famous for its modern coffee houses, bars and restaurants on top of the city walls. 30 minutes

The Samanbahce Quater, Nicosia, Cyprus Situated not far from the Kyrenia Gate, this small neighbourhood consisted of 72 tiny courtyard houses and was the first Social Housing Project in Cyprus. Nelin was a wonderful guide and gave the two of us a great tour along with insights we would not have learned otherwise. After the tour, she also took us to a nice, little local cafe beside the mosque where we enjoyed a locals lunch.
