Hoia Baciu forest near Cluj-Napoca is a seemingly quiet woodland that became famous in 1968 when a UFO was photographed right above it. After that, strange lights were spotted at night and inexplicable energy was recorded in the area. Even the vegetation looks weird in some parts and some say it's haunted, with paranormal activity. Let's go on a night tour to see it! The tour is not supposed to be scary, it is a presentation tour. But part of the presentation is also a list of the inexplicable things. Do you dare... at night?

    Hoia Baciu forest near Cluj-Napoca is a seemingly quiet woodland that became famous in 1968 when a UFO was photographed right above it. After that, strange lights were spotted at night and inexplicable energy was recorded in the area. Even the vegetation looks weird in some parts and some say it's haunted with paranormal activity. We will walk for about 3.5 km (shorter version of the tour is possible). Our destination is Poiana Rotunda or the Round Clearing, the place that is the most famous of them all.

A really great tour through the the forest! Alex was a great guide, very personable and fun to talk to. The tour is great way to learn about some Romanian folklore, as well as the forest's paranormal history. Would recommend both for people interested in the weird side of the world, and for nature lovers.

Don't miss this tour when in Cluj! Excellent night walking tour by a knowledgeable, passionate guide to the Hoia Baciu haunted forest. Alex, our guide, expertly guided us through the forest's winding paths while stopping at key spots to give his explanations and commentary, as well as a recap of Romanian folklore and its characers as it relates to the forest. Highly recommend this one-of-a-kind tour for anyone with even a slight intetest in the paranormal who wants to learn more about why Hoia Baciu is considered haunted, its IFO history, and its unexplainable twisted and melded trees, all on a very unique tour. Don't miss this unique experience when in Cluj!

We really enjoyed the tour. Alex knows his stuff and is an excellent guide. We were neither surprised nor disappointed with the tour. Great stories, local history, and for us, a closer look at the paranormal business without the nonsensical. Alex did not make unsubstantiated claims. It is a very interesting forest with much to see. We did encounter some ghost hunters in the clearing. Experience this tour yourselves. Happy hunting!
