We joined this tour because we love experiencing other cultures through food. May was a fantastic tour guide who was engaging, spoke with clear English, and was happy to share information about any questions we had. We did this tour even after visiting the markets ourself, and still found the tour worth it. Would absolutely recommend this tour.

A very fun tour, also a good cultural experience! The tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to help and share! The food taste so good! I went back to this market several times in my rest stay in Japan, definitely a place worth visiting.

A very fun (and reasonably priced) couple of hours exploring Nishiki market and the surrounding area. I learned a lot about the area and Kyoto traditions and tried some delicious food. The sit-down teishoku meal was really tasty and a welcome break after the craziness of the market during the Gion matsuri. Hikari was a fantastic guide who had great energy, made me feel very welcome, and also gave me some tips for the rest of my stay.
