    Donna was our guide on Saturday, October 19. She is absolutely charming and so knowledgable of everything Maori. The entire day was molded by our interests and could not have been more special. Harry was our guide on Monday, October 21. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well. So, he found a clinic that would accept me and I was able to see a doctor. He even gave them his personal information as a local contact. We spent about 4 hours there. Then, since he was concerned that we had missed an excursion he was able to get us into another one the following evening. We HIGHLY recommend TIME UNLIMITED TOURS to everyone who is planning to visit New Zealand.

    We, and our two teen boys, were searching for a hard-to-find combination: we wanted to see the sights, but also experience the culture. We wanted the kind of experience we would have if we were visiting our cousins in New Zealand, yet not be too closely nursed. Ceillhe (pronounced “Kay-lay”), her husband Neill, and her sister Kristi did exactly that. Ceillhe managed a dynamic itinerary that adjusted depending on the weather and openings (businesses were still transitioning post-COVID) and gave us the tour of literally a lifetime. It is no wonder their business has received multiple country and international-level awards. Mixed in with traditional tourist-type experiences, like seeing Rotorua, or flying over Taupo in a helicopter, we had a chance to get to know them and Ceillhe/Kristi’s Maori heritage. When a traditional Maori cultural mixer was nixed (COVID again), they even opened their home to us and shared a home-cooked dinner with us. We left the trip with incredible memories and new friends.

    We had 8 hours to kill between the time our ship docked in Auckland and our flight home. We had a private tour with Peter who was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, flexible and fun. We had time to see a variety of sights specifically tailored to our interests, have a fabulous lunch at a winery with some wine tasting, and do some last minute souvenir shopping. All with a nice personal touch. What a great way to spend a day in Auckland before our long flight back to the US. Highly recommend.
