Our private Park is unique to New Zealand. Thundercross is a one-stop-shop for dirt biking, where you can hire bikes, have tuition from accredited coaches and ride a variety of trails! We offer everything you need to get amongst it and ride safely. Set in 750 acres of stunning Waikato countryside. If you can ride a two-wheel pedal bike confidently; stopping/starting/steering and braking, you can ride a dirt bike. From approximately 5 years upwards; our most senior hirer is 80 years old! No motorcycle licence or experience necessary. We carry the Adventure Mark safety accreditation and James is one of NZ's most experienced dirt bike coaches, so you will be in good hands. Our experienced Thundercross team will look after you. Thundercross Valley Dirt Bike Park boasts a range of different tracks to cater all skill levels and riding abilities. We hope to see you soon!

Our daughter just had her first dirt bike lesson at Thundercross. We absolutely had a blast, James is not only patient and also have tons of experience. We’re booking in for our next session!

My grandson and I visited Thundercross, we arrived early Friday morning in our motor home with the intention of staying overnight riding both Friday and Saturday. Mandy, James and Catherine couldn’t have been more accomodating, they gave us an area to park right close to the woodshed, they even left the toilets open for us overnight. James spent plenty of time with us on the learner track to give us some coaching and evaluating our skill level. On the Saturday he even took us around the B track. The riding although muddy was really good and my grandson had a ball. It was great for me to be able to ride with him, with a hire bike in a safe environment, and was a great way to finish off our week’s boys adventure for the school holidays. I couldn’t recommend Thundercross more highly, the people are great, the venue very professional, and safety paramount. My grandson also enjoyed the lambs, the pigs, the dogs and the pies! Not so much the dive bombing magpies when riding to the track. We will be back!

I took my 16 year old son for his first dirt bike experience on a wet and windy day out. Despite the whether we had a fantastic day and well worth it on all levels. This started from the moment we arrived and we were warmly welcomed by Mandy and taken through the initiation process. After that we were in James's very capable hands for the duration of the training process and then on to riding by ourselves. Jams has a wealth of knowledge and this is clearly in his wheelhouse from a teaching and coaching perspective and happy to share that with his "students" I would highly recommend this activity to anyone out there young, old, family, friends etc as a great bonding/learning experience and you couldn't be in better hands with James and Mandy and the team.
