Great walk! Guides were very knowledgeable, experience felt nice and laid back. A couple of hours hiking with some incline, a small climbing portion, and an hour or so ride to the start. Good introduction to scree! Walk into the crater is perfect scree to learn on. They provide walking poles if needed, easy hike for an advanced beginner.

Kā nui te mihi kia korua - Taiwera & Perez! I feel super privileged to have got to step foot around Te Maunga ō Tarawera with you two kaiarahi... on your beautiful Ngāti Rangitihi land... Your manāki shone bright... the whole experience really blew my mind... the landscape is so different to where I'm from down south. I thought I'd be scared going down the steep slopes but it was actually very empowering & I felt confident. Tino pai tō mahi. I will be telling all the manuhiri, hoa & whanau about this... an absolute MUST do in Aotearoa New Zealand. Chur!

Amazing adventure!! Totally out of our comfort zone. The guides did a great job keeping us safe! Very much appreciated! Highly recommend this tour. It was spectacular and we had a lot of cloud. Pictures do not do it justice. Thank you to our wonderful, fun guides!! Cheers, Your favourite Canadians!
