A mountain bike with knobbly tyres and a minimum of front suspension is recommended for riding the Timber Trail. At Timber Trail Shuttle & Bike Hire, you can now hire the right bike for the terrain, along with a helmet, spare tubes and other required gear. You have a choice of one of our excellent Trek Roscoe 7 Mountain Bikes or one of our Trek Powerfly 4 Hardtail E-Bikes and Trek Powerfly 4 Full Suspension E-bike. *Note you will need a shuttle to get you to the middle of the trail. Ongarue to Piropiro.

  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

We did the Southern Trail of the Timber Trail. We were in a party of 4 and 3 hired bikes. The service was efficient, warm and friendly. We were made to feel valued and all questions about the bikes were happily answered, even those concerning the privately owned bike! Thanks for a smooth great service.

Nous étions attendu par une équipe de mécaniciens vélos et le Chauffeur du Shuttle. Un accueil très professionnel et chaleureux. Chacun de nous a eu la possibilité d'essayer son vélo et d'y apporter des améliorations. Je conseille le VAE tout suspendu pour vivre une expérience de pur plaisir sur le trail...

Aanmelding via TripAdvisor was niet goed doorgekomen, we werden toch snel geholpen en kregen een E-bike tot onze beschikking. Mooie route, vooral eerste stuk van de 1 dagroute is echt een mountainbikeroute. Bij tijdens flink hobbelige weg, wat achteraf wel voelbaar is. Met ebike goed te doen voor iedereen. Wel veel afdalen, maar weet niet hoeveel conditie je nodig hebt voor een normale mountainbike.
