A day of Epicurean delights, visiting a boutique brewery, top restaurants, medal-winning wineries and finishing with a cocktail and dessert at our last venue, overlooking our beautiful harbour.     The Local Tasting Tour commences by visiting a boutique craft brewery, where the process of producing the natural beer, with no preservatives or additives, is explained & a range of beer is sampled.

    We begin travelling north & stop for a light lunch at one of Taurana's top restaurants, The White House, Te Puna.

    We travel further north through scenic country-side for a presentation & tasting at The Wine Portfolio, now home to the prestigious, medal-winning wines of Leveret (formerly Morton) Estate & Mills Reef Estate. A wonderful day of beer and wine tasting, stunning scenery and a lovely cocktail and desert to finish the day off! Our guide Paul was knowledgeable about wine and clearly loves where he lives. His sense of humour and quick one liners kept us engaged all day. The trip was well organised and we were picked up and dropped off at our accommodation in a timely manner. Would highly recommend.

Paul not only knows the area, because he was born and raised in the area. We learned a lot about the history of Tauranga, saw some beautiful homes and beaches, as well as some white water rafters. He also really knows his wine! The beer tasting at a local brewery was also fun. I would have preferred going to another winery in lieu of having a cocktail at the marina. We would definitely have Paul guide us again!
