Good experience showing all the models and methods for those great movies. Devon was a great host full of energy and knowledge. Good value for money and a great way to spend 90 minutes on a rainy Auckland day.

Trip advisor ripped me off. Buy directly from the Weta Workshop website. I tried to email TripAdvisor to ask for a partial refund but TripAdvisor’s own contact form won’t accept my email addresses (work or personal) as a “real” email so won’t submit the form. Weta workshop is awesome, by the way. Fabulous place to tour. I would like to make a complaint and request a partial refund. When I booked with TripAdvisor, I was only able to select the option of 4 adults and 3 children. I later found out (at Weta) I had been overcharged massively because TripAdvisor did not allow me the option to select the family pass! TripAdvisor charged me $379.78 for 4 adults and 3 children. On Wētā’s website (NZ prices) for a 2 adult and 2 children pass it is $114 ($155 non discounted rate). For 2 adults and 1 child it is $86 ($145 non discounted rate). If I had booked via Weta it would have cost me $200. Booking through TripAdvisor cost me an additional $179.78! Part of this confusion was your website did not make it clear that you were charging me in USD. If TripAdvisor refunds the difference I will happily update this review. Thank you, Katie

Fabulous tour, loved going through the three genres and all the detail, being able to take photos and videos plus touch the art work was pretty special too! Our guide was full of knowledge and fun too!
