    Your private driver and professional guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in Beijing, holding a sign with your name for easy identification. The journey to the Temple of Heaven from most hotels in the city center takes around 30 - 45 minutes, depending on traffic. During the drive, your guide will give you a preview of the day's activities and share some basic information about the Temple of Heaven, its historical significance, and the emperors' connection to this sacred site. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a detailed introduction to the Temple of Heaven. This is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese architecture and was used by emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties to perform sacrifices and pray for good harvests. It represents the ancient Chinese concept of harmony between heaven and earth.

    Explore the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, an iconic circular building with a triple - tiered roof. Once you reach Mutianyu, your guide will give you a comprehensive introduction to this section of the Great Wall.     You have the option to take the cable car (round - trip or one - way) or the chairlift (one - way) to reach the higher sections of the Great Wall with ease. Lucy and her driver took us around Beijing. An amazing highlight was seeing the Great Wall (held together by sticky rice and dead bodies!) in person. My children who are not as appreciative of culture as I would like were very comfortable with Lucy, riding in the cable car and toboggan with her (two children, one of me). Lucy even helped us understand the subway system so we could get around independently the next day. Toboggan ride was brilliant!!!

Excelente dia! Nuestro guia Miko fue excelente, muy organizado, con mucho conocimiento. Y tanto la muralla como el templo del cielo son lugares que no se pueden dejar de conocer. Increibles ambos. Miko ademas fue muy flexible, ya que le pedimos ir a una ceremonia de te y rapidamente pudo arreglar todo.
