The Mutianyu Great Wall area was once just a small village; However, when the Great Wall was built, this part was named as the most dangerous one due to its important geographic location. This private tour will bring you here, hike around for over 2 hours, and your private guide will tell you the history behind this part. After this, upon returning to the central Beijing in the afternoon, enjoy a stroll along the interiors of the Summer Palace and a Dragon Boat ride on the lake. Transport by private vehicle, round-trip cable car at the Great Wall and entrance fees are included.

    Mutianyu Great Wall is the most beautiful section of the all 5 sections of the Great Wall in Beijing. The hike takes about 2-3 hours. It has an extremely beautiful natural landscape once you are up on the wall, green, densely wooded. This section of the Great Wall is comparatively smoother than most of other sections.

Fabulous day and exactly as advertised, no 'surprise shops' en route or no tourist trap trying to sell you sometime extra. The transportation was clean and comfortable and the logistic was excellent. We had sunny day with blue sky at the great wall which made the tour even better!
