Hohhot is the capital city of Inner Mongolia in China. It is located by the stunning grassland. Huitengxile Grassland is about 145km away from Hohhot, which is a rich land for the grasses. This day tour will let you explore the Huitengxile Grassland, Huanghua Valley, and visit the Mongolain yurt by private vehicle from Hohhot. Pickup from your centrally located Hohhot hotel is at 8am.

  • Huitengxile Grassland, Chaha'eryouyizhong Qi, Inner Mongolia, China
    At 8am, you will meet your guide from your centrally located Hohhot hotel, and take 2-hour car ride to the Huitengxile Grassland by private car. Huitengxile is a beautiful grassland with endless green grass, herds of sheep and cows. There are white Mongolian yurts spreading out on the large grassland. You will visit one of the yurt to learn Mongolian culture.

    Moreover, you will visit Huanghua Valley where you will visit the spectacular landscape. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your Hohhot hotel where the day tour concludes.

The guide Ivy was good, provided history and information to us the only issue with the trip was the weather and the food. It was raining which cut down the activities able to be done. Still looks nice but after about 30 minutes I was done with the grasslands. The meal provided by the restaurant was lacking in a lettuce and garlic dish as well as sheep tendons as the other.

I booked both the Xilamuren grassland tour and a full-day trip to the Xiangshuiwan Desert. Both were amazing thanks to my travel guide Jeff. He was very knowledgeable of the both areas and took me to some cool spots. We even enjoyed a traditional Mongolian show on my birthday. My only complaint was the weather. It was quite windy and cold. If you’re planning a trip to Inner Mongolia, I recommend coming in the summertime. Definitely booking these guys again!
