We will pick you up in the lobby of your hotel if your hotel is within the 4th ring road of Beijing city, if your hotel is out of the 4th ring road, you can travel to city to meet our guide or hotel pick up may have extra cost

    Your guide will pick you up at your hotel (within the 3rd ring road) either in the morning or afternoon. Then, head to the nearest metro station and board the train for the Lama Temple. During the journey, your guide will explain everything you need to know about the Beijing Metro System and the city’s vast public transport network. You also can choose the option to including a private transfer during the tour to make the trip easy. Lama temple, the former residence of Emperor Yongzheng before his ascent to the throne, admire the huge wood-carved "Maidala Buddha" in the Ten-Thousand-Buddha Pavilion (Wanfoge). Hear how the statue was carved out of a single tree imported from Tibet and learn why it made it into the 1993 Guiness Book of World Records.

Our tour guide Anson gave us a wonderful tour of the Temple of Heaven and the Lama Temple. He promptly met us in our hotel lobby and accompanied us on the subway in Beijing. His commentary on both sites was interesting. He recommended a place to eat that was very good. I would not hesitate to book this tour with Anson.

My boyfriend and I booked this tour on our first day in Beijing as we wanted to also get to grips with the Metro (turns out each journey works out at around 50p and everything is in English also. Just be prepared for the security checks at each stop but its just a formality). Jimmy our tour guide met us at the hotel lobby early and was very helpful and funny, we really enjoyed his company and was very open about answering all of our questions throughout the day. He had lots of knowledge regarding the Lama Temple and Temple of Heaven, I felt the tour had a good pace also and to speed up the journey home Jimmy took us together onto a local bus back to the hotel. It was a great introduction to Beijing and would definitely recommend. Hopefully you will get Jimmy as a guide!

I met Sophia in the lobby of my hotel. She promptly took me to the nearby Metro station where she instructed me on how to use the system. We then continued and had a great tour of Llama and Heavenly Temples. Terrific explanation and history were recounted as we journeyed through Beijing. The tour was well paced. I recommend it highly. The use of the metro became invaluable for the rest of the trip. It is the most efficient and easiest way to get around a very crowded city. English was perfect. Thanks so much Sophia!
