You'll gain an experience of hiking on both unrestored Great Wall (at Jiankou) and renovated Great Wall (at Mutianyu). This private one-day tour will show you a completely wild and untouched section of the Great Wall at Jiankou as well as a restored section at Mutianyu. Hiking from Jiankou Great Wall to Muitanyu Great Wall is much easier and safer for most hikers. As long as you get on Zhen Bei Lou, the first tower, from a village at the foot of the mountain, the rest of the hike is mostly going down. Besides the wild mountain and isolated Great Wall, you won't see any crowd or sophisticated and touristic facility at the part of Jiankou.

Pick-up from your hotel:
Your English speaking tour guide is supposed to meet your hotel lobby at appointed time.

Pick-up from airport of PEK or PKX:
Your English speaking tour guide will hold a piece of paper with your name written on , waiting at the exit of the airport and showing the paper to you at designated time (the first exit after the luggage picking where you see a lot of people picking up guests.) Please pay enough attention to find your tour guide. Your flight number, departure city, and landing terminal (for PEK airport) is essential for us when you make the booking.

    Hiking for about 30 minutes in the mountain before getting on the first Great Wall tower at Jiankou Great Wall, you'll see the completely wild and unrestored section of the Great Wall. You'll pass by a couple of old and isolated towers and sections of the Great Wall (especially the Ox Horn, the steepest part) in a condition of completely wild and untouched. There's no crowds and noises here. It's the best place to take beautiful pictures and shoot videos.

  • Mutianyu Great Wall, Beijing, China
    After the unrestored and wild sections at Jiankou, you'll reach at Mutianyu Great Wall, which is much less crowded than Badaling, and well restored. You'll pass a couple of Great Wall towers from the top to the middle of the mountain along the Great Wall. And then the hiking will finish at Mutianyu, you can choose to walk down or take the cable car (cable car ticket NOT INCLUDED). After getting down from the Great Wall, shuttle bus is necessary to cover the last distance before you get on our car(shuttle bus ticket included). A Chinese lunch is arranged in a local Chinese restaurant after this hiking tour in the town where Mutianyu Great Wall is located. The whole of these activites and hiking are guided by your English speaking tour guide. You don't need to worry about where to go and how to manage.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
