Very informative and interesting guide, who is passionate about his city and its history. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour and we learnt a lot of the history of Derry. Personable and friendly.

We did a walking tour with a lovely man who has lived in the town of Derry since he was born. Incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his town's history. Even though it was a windy, chilly day we had a great time. The man's name is escaping me, he was around 14 at the beginning of the troubles so believe him to be around late 60s early 70s.

This experience almost defies words. Noel, our guide, was informative and insightful. His explanation of the history of Derry made our visit so much more meaningful than we ever imagined. Anyone planning a visit to this city, should consider strongly making this tour (and Noel) an essential first step. Without it, you’ll find a warm and welcoming city, not unlike most cities in Ireland. With it, however, you’ll find a city that stands as a symbol of hard fought and hard won civic rights. My wife and I left Derry, eventually headed back to the US, so much better informed than when we first arrived.
