Two-day tour through endless forests and over frozen rivers. Picturesque valleys alternate with barren heights and you in the middle of a unique polar landscape. Visit the Sami village Ammarnäs and a nature study exhibition in the largest nature reserve of Europe, the Vindelfjäll.

    We meet at the garage of Sorsele Snowmobile tours. After a technical briefing, it goes out into the terrain. First, the forests accompany us until we leave the tree line below us and come out into the Hochfjäll. Here are fantastic views. About lonely trails in the mountains we come back into the valley and drive on the river Vindelälven north. Several times we have to avoid rapids with imposing ice breaks. Finally, we drive out to the lake Gautsträsk and see in the distance our daily destination, the place Ammarnäs. Check in after arrival in a cozy tavern. Sauna and dinner in the restaurant.

  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Difficult terrain does not occur but individual sections with appropriate snow conditions (especially after snowfall) can be demanding. Previous experience is not necessary.
  • Minimum age is 16 years
  • Please note: this is a 2-day expedition, however is a total of 3 nights including arrival and departure days.
  • Some basic fitness for longer trips on snowmobiles is advantageous.
  • Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required

  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
