As you travel towards Uluru its vast shape rises from the sand dunes in the early dawn light highlighting its presence in this country. Your guide will take you to a special location to watch the sun rise over this amazing monolith. You will learn the Creation stories of Liru (venomous snake) and Kuniya (woma python) and hear about the Mala people. After a picnic breakfast you will visit Mutitjulu Waterhole and then drive around the base of the Uluru before returning to the resort. This three hour highlights tour is perfect for those short on time.

    Drive through the entry gate into Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Entry fees to the National Park are not included in the tour price. These can be purchased online from the National Park website or on tour from the guide and are valid for 3 days.

    With Uluru looming in front of you, your guide will escort you into Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent watercourse nestled in the contours of Uluru. Here you will learn the Creation stories of Kuniya (woma python) and Liru (venomous snake) and their battle for control of Uluru as well as a number of other stories associated with other prominent Tjukurpa (Creation Time) stories. You will also see the rock art on the cave walls and learn how Uluru was, and still is, a significant location for teaching young Aboriginal people.

One of the highlights of my recent trip to the Northern Territory was visiting Uluru. I had been told to do a sunrise and sunset tour by another solo traveler and am I glad that I followed her advice! Georgia was an amazing guide who was respectful, knowledgeable and just a complete joy to be around. I cannot even put into words the feeling you get witnessing the sunrise at this very special place on earth. DO not hesitate to book it with SEIT. I thoroughly enjoyed being in a small van with a small group to make it a more memorable experience.

Matt our driver/guide was fantastic. Very engaging and knowledgable. Ayers Rock at sunrise has to be seen. Great breakfast followed by a walk to various places of interest around the rock. Highly recommend this tour and if you get Matt it’s a bonus.

Well this was just brilliant! The early start and family moans soon made way for awe! Matt picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the sunrise viewpoint- there were 10 on the bus in total so the whole experience was intimate and away from any crowds! Matt introduced himself and we all did in turn… usually hate things like that but was great as we all felt a common bond on this magical morning! Matts banter was splendid..mixed with great aboriginal stories. When we arrived in the dark…we watched uluru emerge magically from the dark-her colours ranging from reds to purples. As we did this, Matt set up a great breakfast and delicious coffee! We then ate and took photos at our leisure! After the breakfast, Matt drove up to the watering hole…sharing wonderful stories of snakes and the ancestors. We saw cave paintings and evidence of man from many thousands of years before. Culturally, we felt very privileged to share this special place…albeit for a short while. Magnificent Matt made the tour more magical- thank you
