Travel in the comfort of your coach around the base of Uluru with your Driver Guide who will provide details on its incredible history. You’ll be fascinated by the Aboriginal stories that go back many thousands of years. Learn the significance of ancient Aboriginal rock art, about the area’s flora and fauna, and culture of its traditional owners, the Anangu. Your day concludes with a spectacular sunset at Uluru. OPTIONAL BBQ DINNER The BBQ site is within the Uluru National Park set amongst red sand dunes and desert oak trees providing a peaceful desert setting. You will enjoy a variety of Australian meats and salads, accompanied by wine, beer or orange juice (menus are subject to change). After dinner, tea, coffee and dessert will be served. Your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, describing and pointing out some of the visible constellations with the assistance of a high beam spotlight (weather permitting).

    Join your Driver Guide for a short walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole at the base of Uluru. View ancient rock art and hear stories of traditional Anangu life. Learn the Tjukurpa (creation) story of Kuniya and Liru.

Unfortunately, the day on my visit is raining . However, I had an experience of waterfalls from the red rocks, it’s Amazing, once in a lifetime. So BBQ dinner outdoor with view of sunset of Uluru was canceled dueto rain; however, half day tour with walking through the sacred sites: Kanja gorges, Mutitjulu water hole and etc. very enjoyable and much knowledgeable.

Fight was cancelled and it caused us to arrive late. AAT was unwilling to make any accommodations or make any adjustments. Book at your own risk. Flights into Ayres Rock get canceled by JetStar fairly regular.

Base tour of Uluru and sunset tour. Traditional stories, better understanding aboriginal culture. Booking process efficient as was the refund process when had to cancel another tour.
