We really enjoyed this private tour and our tourist guide Lin was excellent. Having an expert guide like Lin helped us appreciate this ancient city’s history. We had time to do 2-3 sights so we skipped city museums. We did the Terracotta Warrior museum private tour the day before and Lin was our guide too. Not Lin’s fault, but we didn’t enjoy our visit ti the Terracotta museum as it was just super super crowded.
On this city tour , our first, and the longest stop, was Xian City Wall. The city wall is massive and well preserved. Lin explained a lot on the city’s history during our stroll around the wall. We took lots of photos as the city wall and the views from the wall are magnificent.
We visited the Muslim quarter next. It is an interesting pedestrian food street. We tried a couple of snacks. Seems food is the primary thing that draws tourists to the Muslim quarter. We did not see any mosque ( maybe located off the area).
The ground of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is beautiful and Lin told us the story of why the Pagoda was built. Very interesting. Lin chose this as our last stop as it is close to the Grand Tang Mall where we wanted to visit on our own after the tour. We had a great The lights of this massive pedestrian street all lit up as night falls. The “Tang Dynasty “ buildings are amazing.
Overall our tour was fantastic. Recommend.
