    Your English speaking tour guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. She/he will call you the day before to reconfirm the pick-up time with you. Drive you out of town directly to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. You will spend at least two and a half hours to see the three excavated pits. After the tour, we will drive you back to your hotel.

While Xi'an is a large city, to ensure the morning pick-up going smoothly as scheduled, we suggest you choose centrally located downtown hotels. If the location of your hotel is beyond our free pick-up range, you may need to pay for extra mile transfers or get to an appointed meeting point. For any pick-up issues, your one-on-one travel consultant is ready to help anytime.
  • Group Size: About 9 people. There are chances that 10% of the tour groups will exceed 9 people but we will make proper arrangements.
  • The time schedule of the itinerary may be adjusted according to the daily traffic and real situations. Besides, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda & Xian Museum is not open to tourists on Tuesdays. We will adjust the itinerary with substitutes if your travel date happens to meet Tuesday.

Recently I took my family of 3 generations totally 10 people to tour China. While in China, I decided to travel via high speed train. Nine years ago, I had a great experience with Travel China Guide for getting high speed train tickets. Naturally I turned to them again this time. Amy Jian is the agent who helped me. Amy is superb. She is very responsible, responsive and explains everything clearly. I have 10 legs of tickets. I started planning in October 2023 for our June trip. I made many changes. She ALWAYS responds quickly. One time she even replied on Chinese Lunar New Year’s Day. I also asked Amy to arrange tours for me for Shaolin Temple and Terracotta Warriors. Both tour guides Jane and Lily were very knowledgeable and passionate about their work. My family is very pleased and impressed with their service. Amy got all the tickets per my specifications. The tour itinerary was good, but the guide was below expectation as compared to nearby guides who gave more comprehensive explanations.. Additionally, there was big crowds at the Terracotta Museum, but when the guide moves around from point to point, sometimes there was no signal to move on, so we have to lookout for her to avoid the risk of been left behind. The car provided was comfortable.

Just spent a full day visiting the Terracotta Warriors, the Xi’an city wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda all during the first snow of 2020. We thoroughly enjoyed the day made even more interesting with our guide Carols insights into the history of each place we went and more. It was hard to fathom the age of the artefacts we saw, amazing! We finished off the day by attending a dumpling dinner and show about the story of the first Empress of China, which we totally recommend. Would like to thank Carol, who couldn’t do enough for us. Checked us in at the airport and waited until we got through security. She even went back to the hotel to collect and send on some items we left behind - thank you again Carol!
