    At around 6 pm, local English-speaking guide will pick you up from your hotel, lead you to a wonderful evening by local public transportation(taxi, subway). You will firstly enjoy a traditional dinner of dumplings which is one of the oldest and most popular dish in Chinese history and an essential part of celebratory meals such as those prepared for the Chinese Lunar New Year. Then get ready for Tang Dynasty Dance Show at 7:30 pm. Exact show time may change according to the theater operations. Tang Dynasty Dance Show is a recreation of the magnificent period of prosperous Tang Dynasty in Chinese history delighting the audience with fascinating ancient imperial court musics and dances that will absolutely enrich your culture experience of ancient China here in Xi'an. By around 8:30 pm, the show will end and you will return to the hotel by yourself, your guide will be more than happy to give you suggestions.

if you want a tourist trap, with second (third) rate dumplings, kitsch and cheap spectacle, this is for you. Uninteresting and probably the low point of a three weeks tour in China

We were not sure what to expect from this but we were not disappointed. We went as part of a group on a five day tour of China. We were one of the first groups in and had a table near the front in the middle so had excellent views of the show. We arrived about 6.30 and we were seated straight away. We were served appetiser first while the dumplings were being cooked - not sure what everything was but it was enjoyed by all. The dumplings were then brought out one type at a time all freshly cooked - about 14 different types in total. One drink each was included but extra beer was available at 20 Yuen each. The show started at 7.50 and finished at 9.00. Lots of different dances and musical instruments played. The costumes and dancers were amazing and it was nice to see the unusual instruments played. Had a thourghly enjoyable evening. Cannot comment on value for money as it was included in our tour.

Great night out to have dinner and a fantastic show. So many talented and artistic entertainers. A truly cultural entertaining show.
