Great day with a local. Manfred was very knowledgeable and took us to places like we were long lost friends. The tour was booked 3 hours, but lasted 6 including having a nice lunch and discussion local and international norms and politics. I had a great time, Learned a lot about Nuremberg and now have a friend. I certainly Recommend Manfred for future tours.

We had been to Nuremberg one other time, but we thought we would like a tour of the old town on this visit. After signing up for the tour we received a questionnaire from Lokafy, which I thought was a good sign. It asked what we were interested in seeing. I replied that the first time we had been to Nuremberg we visited the Nazi sites, and that this time we would like to spend time in old town. The second item I asked Lokafy about was the fact that we were staying in the old town area and asked if our guide could meet us at the hotel to begin the tour. Strike One: Our guide texted me on the appointed hour to meet and asked if we were near. I said we were at the hotel and that Lokafy said she could meet us there. She had NO idea that was the plan, but luckily she was only about a 5 minute walk away. She came right over to get us. Strike Two: The tour guide showed up and said "I hear you would like to visit the Nazi sites'. Well, that is totally opposite of what I had said on the questionnaire. Lokafy was sure to tell us that they do not hire professional tour guides, but just use locals to show people around their hometown. That is exactly what we got. Gabriele was a local willing to take us to see the things that interested us. She could answer basic questions and took us to some places that we would not have seen on our own. This is important to know if you are interested in something more. I would give Gabriele a 4 star and Lokafy a 2 star. I suppose if you get the right guide this tour is good. If not, this tour could be very bad. I do really enjoy private tours so that we can do exactly what we wish.
