I thought it’d be the full day snorkeling and swimming, but it’s not: the water part lasts only 2 hours. We checked only 2 spots and we barely saw a manta (just 1). The whole time I felt like the crew was in a rush. The lunch was in a very nice restaurant. The other part of the day was in the car visiting the other 3 spots, and (despite the driver being very nice) it was quite rushed: we just went to the place, took pictures and left.

The tour got canceled the night before, which was very unfortunate and on a very late notice. My partner and I were really looking forward to it since the tour was the main reason we stayed on Nusa Penida. There was no alternative offered for a decent price other than booking a private boat. We found this too expensive for only two people. We luckily got the chance to do the tour either way by getting in contact with a local and do half of the sight seeing ourselves with a rented scooter. So I would suggest to just book a tour on the mainland. 1) so you won’t get cancellations on a late notice and 2) it’s waaay cheaper! After all a refund has been issued for me, and they communicated clearly about further procedures.

My trip to Nusa Penida was made even more amazing by the opportunity to swim with manta rays during the snorkeling tour, and our guides were the absolute best - professional and so friendly, making the entire experience one I'll never forget!
