Wimalasurendra, a distinguished Ceylonese engineer and inventor. The designer of the viaduct was Harold Cuthbert Marwood of Railway Construction Department of Ceylon Government Railway. The 1923 report titled "Construction of a Concrete Railway Viaduct in Ceylon" published by the Engineering Association of Ceylon has details of all the records including the plans and drawings.

Shashicka did everything to make me happy that day excursion. He respected what the viator tour itinerary included but the same give me the opportunity to personslised the choose where to go first and what to see best. I appreciate his helping with video and pictures as i was alone and suggestions about what dont miss..he is also really prepared about history, geography and actual condition of his country. I regret missed dinner with his family because at the end of the day he help me trying to safe the life of a dog hit by a car but also about that he show his humanity! Thanks of everything Shashicka!

I booked a one and a half day tour with Shashicka to explore famous spots in Ella region such as the Little Adams Peak, Lipton Seat, the tea factory etc. He knows the best photo spots and would share interesting facts and knowledge about Sri Lanka at different sites. Follow him as a guide and he will take the best photos for you at different angles. This man is also genuine and wants the best experience for his tourists. At the peak of Lipton seat, he explained and showed me how a family of locals usually get by with their cooking. I was really humbled as I get a little taste of the local experience, and to see first hand how generous these people are. Finally, he also invited me to his home for a home-cooked dinner by his family and I really appreciate the gesture by him. He also gave me many tips to prevent locals from overcharging me, ensuring that your budget is well managed. Overall, Shashicka is one of the best and friendly guide you can find in Ella and I would recommend him :)

Sashicka, our guide handled the whole trip incredibly in such challenging time. Always going above and beyond to help us in case of any need. Even during the petrol crisis he made sure we have enough petrol for the whole tour by staying up all night in the petrol station. He can even help manage your budget in case you are a budget traveler. He will make sure you have to best food and accommodation always. Also, he is an excellent photographer. Solo travelers don't worry, you have an amazing clicker who has crazy ideas for photos which actually comes out to be perfect! He has been through a lot of personal tragedies recently. So travelers and explorers kindly help this extremely hard working lad get back on his feet by booking with him. Lastly, Sasha (as we call him) we will come again to take trips of the east coast as promised this time with parents. All the best with your ventures.
