My girlfriend and I went on an amazing tour up into the mountains to see a different part of the area. It was just the two of us and Hugo was our guide. Hugo was awesome....knew so much about the area, including the flora and fauna, and was so nice and very articulate. We saw small villages and a coffee plantation and learned a lot about growing and harvesting coffee, and also learned a lot about other plants and animals of the area, like vanilla. Also went for a great lunch at restaurant up in the hills. would absolutely recommend this tour to everyone, and feel fortunate if you get Hugo as your guide.

Our group of 8 had a wonderful 3 level tour that finished with the coffee plantation tour. I don't normally drink coffee, but learning about the process was enlightening and the coffee tasted great. Our guide, Alberto, demonstrated his passion for ecology and sustainability. He was very informative about the history of the area and shared his love of the culture. He showed us many things that are probably not on other tours. His enthusiasm was delightful.
