    The Cathedral of St. Jago de la Vega is a church that is immersed in the rich history of Spanish Town as well as the establishment of the Church of England in Jamaica. Pursuant to being appointed as a Cathedral on November 28, 1843, the church undertook the task of serving in two distinct capacities. It provided a haven for spiritual growth for the parishioners of St. Catherine as well as to facilitate governmental rites and procedures for the island up until 1872 when Spanish Town ceased being the Capital of Jamaica.

  • Emancipation Park, Kingston, Caribbean
    The six-acre park includes fountains and public art. The park is known for the large sculpture Redemption Song at the park's main entrance. Redemption Song, which takes its name from Bob Marley's song of the same name, is an 11 ft. (approximately 3m) high bronze sculpture by Jamaican artist Laura Facey. The sculpture features a male and female figure gazing to the skies – symbolic of their triumphant rise from the horrors of slavery. The statue was unveiled in July 2003, in time for the park's first anniversary.

Our trip with Delton was brilliant. He showed us around Kingston and took his time. Nothing was too much for him to do. We also did other trips with him. He took us to White River rafting and to our family home in Clarendon. We are soo blessed to have met him last year when we visited Jamaica and did the Blue Mountain trip. He is very knowledgeable, polite & patient. Will definitely be booking our next trips with Dr Fun. Thanks Delton.

Wir waren mit Mein Schiff 1 in Ocho Rios und sind mit Delton nach Kingston gefahren. Der Kontakt vorher mit Dr. Fun Tours war super, schnelle Antworten auf alle Fragen, das Abholen am Hafenausgang lief auch tadellos. Delton hat uns mit einem gut gepflegten und sauberen Toyota Kleinbus abgeholt und dann ging es auch schon Richtung Fern Gully los. Er erzählte uns jede Menge über Land und Leute und beantwortete unsere Fragen. Er sprach ein einwandfrei verständliches Englisch und ist auch ein sehr guter und rücksichtsvoller Autofahrer, was wir besonders bei Ausflügen mit anderen Taxifahrern später sehr vermisst und uns noch oft an Delton erinnert haben. In Spanish Town und Kingston haben wir sehr vieles gesehen, sehr viel mehr, als wir bei einem vom Schiff organisierten Ausflug hätten sehen können. Wir können Dr. Fun Tours und Delton sehr empfehlen, er war wirklich einer der besten Guides unserer gesamten Tour durch die Karibik. Sollte es uns wieder eines Tages nach Ocho rios verschlagen, dann würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder eine Tour mit Dr. Fun Tours buchen.

Had a great day with our driver Albert who was very professional,polite and knowledgeable.Would definitely recommend and will certainly use again when we revisit Jamaica.
