Lorna, our tour guide was so knowledgeable and entertaining. She was so funny and engaging. A true local celebrity! We stopped at 4 different restaurants and sampled some of the best food we had all trip. Choco Cortes was our first stop where we tried croquettes with 3 different types of chocolate sauce and the best part of that stop was the chocolate martini. At Deaverdura, we dined on a traditional dish of pork, rice, and beans with flavorful sauces and a juice (option to add rum). Next stop, Taberna Lupulo, which was a beer tavern with a great vibe and an even better Cuban sandwich. Not to miss-the Beermosa. So refreshing and delicious. Last stop, sampled the mofongo at Rincon Iberico. Even though we were so stuffed, the night ended with the most perfect flan de cafe, coffee flan. Was it the most delicious dessert I've ever had? Possibly. I ate the entire thing even though it seemed like there was no room in my stomach for any more food. Food tours are one of my favorite ways to explore the city and learn some history, and this was one of the best tours around.
