    Nizwa Fort is one of the oldest forts in Oman and lies in A'Dakhiliyah Governorate. It has a unique large round shape. Its height reaches 24 metres, with an outer diameter of 43 metres and an inner diameter of 36 metres.Nizwa Fort was built by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Y`aribi in the middle of the 17th century.

An enriching and memorable experience was made even sweeter by our guide Mr. Khalfan. The details he shared about Nizwa, its culture, and its history were exemplary. We really enjoyed the souq, the forth and not to mention...Dates, tahini and refreshing Arabic coffee. My 2 year old also became quickly comfortable with Mr Khalfan. I would strongly recommend taking this tour (if possible, do ask for Mr. Khalfan)
