West of Salalalah tour by Takamul Travel will show you the highlights of western Dhofar with all the remarkable places included in the itinerary. First you will visit the enchanting Sahalnawt spring with its azure waters and travertine rock formations. Then you will drive up to the Ittine heights where you will have spectacular views on Salalah and Jarzeez valley. Afterwards you will drive across the Jebel Qara mountain range to reach the resting place of Phrophet Ayyoub. From there you will once again have the breathtaking views of the Salalah plain. After descent from the mountains you will reach the spectacular Mughsail Beach. On the one end of Mughsail beach lies a serene lagoon where you can spot flamingoes and herons. On the other end you will see the looming Jebel Qamar mountain range. Under the imposing Marneef cave you will have the opportunity to wonder at water fountains gushing from the blowholes in the cliffs.

I fully enjoyed the tour. I don’t feel rushed. Karel is very knowledgeable about the local culture and the local tourist sites. I especially like the beach area west of Salalah. I highly recommended this tour!

During a winter escape from Europe and our first visit to Oman, we were very glad having booked this tour with Takamul Travel, giving us the opportunity to experience western Dhofar in a perfect setting. We found our tour guide Karel, CEO of Takamul Travel, well-educated, knowledgeable and entertaining, giving us very interesting insights into the country. Karel is an experienced and safe driver. The visited places are really stunning, and we encountered almost no other tourists - apparently most of Salalah visitors kept sitting on the beach at this time of year. We very much recommend booking this fantastic experience with Takamul. We thought we got excellent value for much less money compared to tours offered via our hotel tour operator. We also booked the Empty Quarter desert adventure with Takamul Travel, which was equally enjoyable.
