Explore Algonquin Park’s northwest corner and howl for wolves, hike to scenic lookouts, and dip your paddle into the fresh water of Surprise Lake. Finish each day relaxing on the dock, in the sauna or in front of the fireplace. On top of the accommodation and tasty home-cooked meals, the 3-day Log Cabin Adventure features unique guided excursions by canoe and on foot. The Algonquin Log Cabin is the ultimate wilderness retreat. Unlike the Park’s Highway 60 corridor, the only way into Algonquin from this corner is by foot or canoe. Up here there are fewer people in the pristine wilderness. The Algonquin Log Cabin is located off-the-grid and does not have electricity, which increases its cozy and unique character.

    It was an amazing getaway in an off-the-grid location, connecting with mother nature, trying out canoeing for the first time, and canoeing when it was pitch dark! It was an awesome experience seeing the moonrise! And also hiking even when it was raining. Emily and Evan were great hosts and Dawn cooked all the yummy food! The cabin was so comfy. I hope to come again in the future! =)

    Wir haben uns zu zweit, als Freundinnen, im Rahmen unseres Kanada Urlaubs für die 3 Tage Kanutour entschieden. Als wir in der Log Cabin ankamen (Parkplätze direkt vor der Hütte) wurden wir sehr freundlich von der Köchin und unseren Guides Bethany und Andson begrüßt. Die Log Cabin ist sehr gemütlich und wird mit einem offenen Feuer beheizt. Es gibt keinen Strom, es stehen aber in den Zimmern kleine Camping Laternen mit Batterie bereit. Eine eigene Stirnlampe oder Taschenlampe ist aber zusätzlich von Vorteil z.B. abends für das Bad (Waschbecken und Toilette). Das Verpflegung ist super und das Essen wird immer frisch zubereitet von einer Köchin. Bei den Ausflügen wird gegrillt oder in der Pfanne über offenem Feuer Essen gebraten. Die Ausflüge waren sehr gut organisiert und zeitlich optimal abgestimmt, es gab genug Zeit dazwischen um am Feuer oder am See zu entspannen. Es gibt auch eine Sauna. Die Kanutouren spürt man nach den drei Tagen etwas in den Armen, aber die Erlebnisse sind es absolut wert. Es ist eine tolle Erfahrung, ruhig und mitten in der Natur, perfekt zum Abschalten. Man hat keinen Handyempfang, vermisst man aber in dieser Umgebung überhaupt nicht. Bettzeug wird gestellt. Handtücher muss man selber mitbringen. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen. Danke nochmal an das ganze Team! Ihr wart großartig.

    Thank you, Peter and Kate, that you care for us - constantly. Both of you never tired of entertaining the group. This was such an amazing trip for my wife an me - we will NEVER EVER FORGET!!! We enjoyed every second at this trip - even though there had been so many mosquitos. Also a big thank you for Blake, for the sunset canoeing and the great breafast in wilderness. And last but not least: thank you Nicolene, for the first-class cooking! This was NOT our last trip with Voyageur Quest!!!!
