Wakayama Castle, Wakayama, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan Wakayama Castle is a historical castle located in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. Originally built in 1585 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the castle was later expanded and fortified by Tokugawa Hidetada in the early 17th century.
The castle was an important stronghold during the Sengoku period and was a key location during the Siege of Osaka in 1614-1615. It was also the residence of various feudal lords over the years.
Unfortunately, much of the castle was destroyed during World War II, but it was reconstructed in 1958 to its current form. Today, Wakayama Castle is a popular tourist attraction and serves as a museum showcasing the history and culture of the Wakayama region. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city from the castle's observation deck and explore the castle grounds and museum exhibits. 80 minutes

The market is known for its fresh seafood offerings, including a wide variety of fish, shellfish, and other seafood products sourced directly from the local waters of the Kuroshio Current. Visitors can browse the many stalls selling seafood and other products, as well as sample fresh seafood dishes at the market's various restaurants and food stands.
In addition to seafood, Kuroshio Market also features a variety of other local products, including Wakayama's famous umeboshi (pickled plums), local sake, and other specialty foods and souvenirs.
The market is open daily, and visitors can enjoy a lively atmosphere as fishermen and shoppers alike come together to celebrate the region's rich seafood culture. 120 minutes
Todai-ji Temple, Nara, Nara Prefecture, Japan Tōdai-ji is a Buddhist temple located in Nara, Japan. It was founded in the early 8th century during the Nara period and is one of Japan's most famous and historically significant temples.
The temple's main hall, known as the Daibutsuden, is one of the largest wooden buildings in the world, and houses a giant bronze statue of the Buddha known as the Daibutsu or Great Buddha. The statue is over 15 meters tall and weighs around 500 tons, making it one of the largest bronze statues in the world.
Tōdai-ji also features a number of other important structures, including the Hokke-do Hall, which houses important Buddhist scriptures, and the Nigatsu-do Hall, which is known for its beautiful views of Nara city.
The temple is surrounded by a large park, which is home to many wild sika deer, which are considered sacred in Japanese culture. Visitors can feed and interact with the deer in the park.

Our tour guide was very positive and knowledgeable. The stops were first class and all my favorite. The amount of time at each stop was just right.
We always double-check the availability with our local partners for each booking. Even though this is usually a swift process, it can take up to 24 hours. Once this process is completed you will receive your voucher or ticket by email. If our local partner is not able to confirm your booking we will offer you the best possible alternative. If the new date and/or time doesn’t fit your itinerary, we will reimburse the full amount paid.
