Take a journey back in the time to the 1940´s, where the Nazi-German forces had occupied Oslo. On this guided walking tour we will pass along main streets of Oslo, but we will look at them from a broader vision. The war left many traces in the city, but it's not so easy to notice them.

Rami has some great photos of events of the past while we stand in the exact place in the present! Extremely informative and fascinating. I didn't mind the rain at all I was enjoying Rami's stories and anecdotes.

We had a wonderful walking tour of Oslo with Rami which not only showed us the main areas of the city, but which had a focus on Oslo and Norway during WWII. We learned so much about the effect the German occupation had on the Norwegian people and now understand why establishing NATO in 1949 was so important to Norway. The tour also set the stage for our travels beyond Norway to the Arctic North where towns like Kirkenes were totally destroyed by conflict between Germany and the Soviet Union during the war and the complete destruction of virtually all houses and buildings by the Germans upon their departure when the war ended. Rami, whose life story is also fascinating, was an excellent tour guide and I highly recommend this tour to anyone unfamiliar with 20th century Norwegian history.

The guide was very experienced and passionate about the tour. Despite the cold weather, we still managed to have an extremely enjoyable and memorable experience. Definitely would recommend to people with similar tastes in history.
