Our guide Diego from Santa Cruz was wonderful, and generous with sharing his knowledge of his community. The hiking was very strenuous! A never to forget experience.

We had such an enjoyable morning with Fernando.
Because we weren't staying in Panajachel, we arranged to meet him at the lancha dock. Then it was off to Los Elementos to get the kayaks.
It was great to see the lake from that level and then, later, from our hike on the Lower Mayan trail from Santa Cruz to Jaibalito. Lake Atitlan is stunning!
After a stop at El Indigo (great views, coffee, and food), Fernando accompanied us back to Panajachel.
He also took some great photos of our morning and shared them with us, which was greatly appreciated.

We had a great time floating out on the lake. Clear beautiful day. We did the 1/2 day which was perfect. Our guide Antonio was also great. Lunch at Indigo Cafe of fresh fish was ideal!
