When we arrived at the meeting place François made himself known to us. With introductions carried out, François with no messing around, launched straight into the contextual background to France; its interrelations with Celts, Vikings Francs and brought the history to life. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very entertaining. You couldn't help but get swept along with him.
We visited Notre Dame which I can only describe as a scene from Dante's Inferno. However, its rising from the ashes like a phoenix and that was worth seeing. We enjoyed the tour immensely and saw where Marie Antoinette was held prisoner and executed. What was so fantastic about this tour is that François took us to so many places that you wouldn't visit yourself or maybe know about. His passion for history was infectious. We had good discussions, laughs and more importantly enjoyment!
We would totally recommend this tour as François was nothing but professional and went over and above, and was completely accommodating. Thank you for a great time. Finally, if you're a history lover or just curious about the history of Paris (France), this tour is definitely for you!
