On our Secret Food Tour: Le Marais Paris, you'll enjoy a variety of classic French street foods starting with a viennoiserie/croissants, and collecting breads, then go and seat to enjoy a classic croque-monsieur in the very restaurant where Jim Morrison spent some of his time in Paris, along with discovering our mystery dish and cheese while enjoying a glass of red and white wine. Visiting Le Marais also means seeing the Jewish street of Paris and tasting some creamy Falafels. Then off to a world of sweetness for some incredible chocolates and colourful macarons, all of this crowned by a dessert to finish with style. Our tour starts at the bustling heart of Le Marais near the famous rue de Rivoli, one of the main streets of the city. During the tour we will walk the old streets, cross the Place des Vosges and see some of the oldest medieval houses of Paris. You will realise how the locals live in this part of Paris and how the city's history influence has shaped its gastronomy.

Great tour - we were so full by the end! Tour guide provided explanations of the area and food we were eating. I’m in love with the food in France so it was really nice to learn the history and learn how to pick out a good bakery and cheese shop. We booked on a Sunday and had no issues with any of the shops being closed. We stopped for gelato to finalise our tour and was told that we had to share one between two - we were pretty full so didn’t mind sharing and we are a couple however might be an issue for friends or solo guests on the tour.

Great city and good tour, tour guide Ingrid was amazing, great sense of humour and very knowledgeable about foods, cheeses, wine and the city.

Avril was amazing! We met on time and walked a short distance to the stops. We got to taste cheese, chocolates, and macarons on the walking part. Then, the secret part (without giving too much away) was fun tasting more of Paris' bounty. Our tour met at 10:30am and our 'tastings' were more than enough for lunch! Such great information Avirl shared. Definitely do this tour! Wish we'd scheduled it the first day, not the last, as there were several places I would have returned to!
