The Château and estate have been built up by the owners of Chantilly since the center Ages. A must see, only about an hour or so from Paris. You can also take a train there. The castle is magnificent both from the outside and the inside. I would definitely recommend a visit. In addition to being beautiful in architecture on the exterior, the castle boasts a rather large collection of paintings and interesting items inside. There is definitely a lot to explore. I recommend finding a real, guided tour and to stay away from the very poorly executed automated machine guide.
