Raphael was a great guide, he was very knowledgeable and passionate about the champagne. We had a great time with the tasting and tour, and had a very authentic French lunch. I liked that the group was small and had a private tour guide feel.

The most memorable part was enjoying a champagne in the vineyard and speaking with and sharing a champagne with a local person who just happened to be passing. Raphael was attentive and very punctual. He organised a very enjoyable lunch, a lovely afternoon coffee and a fabulous tour of Mercier Cellars.

Raphael was my tour guide and provided an amazing experience during my first visit to Paris! I was only in town for a few days and was interested in champagne tasting in the countryside and it also turned out to be a nice escape the fast pace of the city. I was picked up at my hotel promptly early in the morning, which was very convenient. Following a short drive, we stopped at multiple destinations from the itinerary in Reims and Epernay including champagne tasting in a vineyard and a visit to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame. We had a wonderful picnic lunch overlooking the vineyards. The food was delicious and the weather was beautiful the entire day. We stopped at the Moët & Chandon boutique, which offered very nice selections and was a great place to shop for bottles to take home. We also toured the cellars of Mercier, which was fun and highly educational as they offer an English audio guide. Along the way, also made a stop for coffee at a small cafe and the pace of the tour was perfect and not rushed. The highlight of the experience was having Raphael as my tour guide. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful and was dedicated to providing a great experience. He also had great restaurant recommendations for dinner. For those interested in a private or intimate experience, I would highly recommend this champagne tour. Thank you Raphael for making this the most memorable experience during my short first trip to Paris!
