A driver will pick you up at your hotel in Paris at 08:00AM and drive you to the Champagne region. Then, meet your local guide in the Champagne region (around Reims or Epernay), who will take you to the heart of Champagne for this private day tour. Start the day with a drive through the Champagne vineyard. Enjoy a moment in the vineyards, with breathtaking views on the UNESCO world’s heritage Champagne vines and acquire knowledge about the particularities of our “terroir”. You will then discover the village of Hautvillers, birthplace of Champagne. Get to enter the church where the famous monk Dom Pérignon is buried. Have a casual lunch at a winery paired with champagnes. Visit one of the most prestigious Champagne House in the region (Veuve Clicquot or Moët and Chandon or Pommery according to availabilities) and taste their most iconic champagne. After this bubly day, your morning driver will drive you back to Paris and drop you off around 8:00PM.

We were hoping for a ‘taste’ of Champagne but we got a GULP! :) What an incredible experience! The small group of 8 people plus Tom, our amazing guide, made for a unique and intimate experience learning about champagne, the different regions, tastings, history etc. Veuve Clicquot was great but we really enjoyed other local stops too. We had plenty of time at each place to sip various champagnes, take photos, and ask questions. The authentic/traditional lunch was delicious and easily accommodated my allergy. The hospitality was amazing, thank you for a memorable day!

My friend and I chose this tour as we love champagne and were excited to see another part of France besides Paris and Versailles. Our tour guide was Tom, and he was funny, knowledgeable, and all around a fantastic guide! The Veuve Clicquot tour was informative, and the lunch at the a la Francaise office was perfect. The trip through the various vineyards was beautiful, and we had a fantastic time at The Lancelot Royer family winery. Tom was great from start to finish, and I would not hesitate to recommend this tour for anyone interested in how champagne is made.
