So we wanted to celebrate my husbands belated 60th birthday and I decide we go to Paris from Mulhouse by train as I wanted to experience this train ride. After a stressful journey or almost missing the inter inOui train for lack of direction and communication we finally arrived in Paris L'Est. After a short time finding out how to get to my hotel I purchased the tickets for the Metro. As we board the metro we are surrounded by a group of young girls asking for directions to Charles De Chauser it sounded like..... N pushing a map in our faces. I was tired and annoyed so I said no speak French. We are tourists. And I pushed past them n sat down. My husband was a bit more polite. I suddenly heard him shout Oyeee in an aggressive manner n so I looked up n he looked flushed. I said what's the matter he said did you see she put her hand in his man bag he was wearing across his front. Luckily he didn't have any documents or money in there. So I shouted at them and called them thieves. N stared them down. The tube doors had thankfully shut so they were stuck in the train with us. I swore at them in English and called them thieves and I said call the police... To my husband.. He said no don't worry nothing was taken. A few seconds later a young man appears at my side n I though oh oh I've upset the French people n someone is going to tell us off...but no it was a police officer. He had witnessed them following us all the way from the ticket office to the train. Thank goodness... Very impressed. Apparently its a plot they distract you by showing a map while they frisk you and get your wallet out. So please be careful. Other than that we had a good time in Paris.
