Saint Germain des Prés is responsible for the sophisticated image of Paris as a city of art, literature and culture. This charming neighborhood offers a glimpse into authentic Parisian life as you explore its popular attractions with a local guide.
You'll visit iconic landmarks such as the oldest cafe in Paris, opened in 1672, as well as the oldest church. You will also discover some of the city's first jazz clubs, chocolate shops, and restaurants.
As you walk down the chic Boulevard Saint Germain, you will see the place where medieval fairs and marketplaces were once organized. You'll also discover how this neighborhood became a hub for artists and writers like Picasso and Hemingway and existentialists like Sartre and De Beauvoir.
During the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit one of France's six national theaters and one of Paris's largest churches, which played a prominent role in the popular novel and film, "The Da Vinci Code."

We had Sara as our guide for both Le Marais and St Germain walking tours and really enjoyed and appreciated her friendly, engaging and knowledgeable manner. We had a great time with her on both tours and recommend her highly!

RT is very friendly and helpful! She tried her best whilst managing a big crowd - not her fault but a speaker mic will be super useful though if it can be arranged.
