Richard is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. He knows the area of Marais like he lives there, which he does. The trip to Giverny was perfect, he even stopped the rain while we toured Monet’s gardens. Highly recommend Richard and would use him again on our next trip to Paris.

my family and i took at tour with richard who showed us all around Marais. He showed us some amazing food places we would have NEVER found on our own and lots of cool little streets and alleys and courtyards that a tourist would never be able to navigate on their own without the knowledge of a local who knows his spots! richard is an amazing tour guide and i can't recommend him enough!!

Richard is the perfect tour guide for walking around Paris -- insightful, curious, and witty. He's a Brooklyn native who lived and worked in Manhattan before moving to Paris almost two decades ago, making him the ideal person to explain Parisian culture, behavior and trends to a couple from New York. He shows you the historical markers you're interested in, the best cultural stuff of the moment (like chocolate!) and mixes in personal anecdotes that make the experience unique. When we parted, I felt like I'd had a blast with a long-lost uncle and that I had a new handle on the real Paris. What more can you ask for? Do plan to spend some time with Richard if you want to experience Paris in a new way.
