  • On Rottnest Island, in the event of high wind above our seaplane takeoff and landing crosswind limit, an alternative flight from Rottnest Island to Jandakot Airport will be arranged. It is common for Rottnest Island to experience unfavourable winds in the afternoon.
This experience is non-refundable and cannot be changed for any reason. If you cancel or ask for an amendment, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

I booked a seaplane trip several months in advance and paid at the time of booking. Two days before the flight, we were informed that the flight was canceled due to a technical issue and were offered a flight from Jandakot Airport with a partial refund. Two months later, we still haven't received a refund and no further response from Swan River Seaplane. Avoid this dishonest operator, unfortunately the only one offering seaplane trips to Rottnest Island.

Why mess around for 90 minutes on a boat when you can get there in minutes and see the island and Perth from a totally different perspective. Great fun, another adventure and would definitely recommend it to anyone. It’s the way to do it! James and Angela were excellent pilots and hosts too.

We did the return flight to Rottnest . Flight time was changed to an hour early which worked out better than original plan and plenty of notice was given. Kirsty was very helpful on all aspects of arranging everything and explaining how to get to the jetty in the morning. Jackson at the landing was excellent and Liam the pilot was great as well, with a good sense of humour. We had to land at the airsrtip on the island which was a bonus as we flew over the whole of the island. Due to the plane not being full we got window seats out and back . I went out in 1970 on a light aircraft and it was great to do it again 54 years later. Just a great memorable experience. Peter and Ruth
