This tour combines the best sites and experiences is Peru. Taking you to one of the Seven Wonders of the World - Machu Picchu (by train), as well as one of the most magical mountains in the world (Rainbow Mountain) reaching a summit at of nearly 17,000ft/4500m! You will have a fluent English speaking guide along for both tours, we include all transport to and from your hotel in Cusco, all entrance tickets, and most meals. Because of the proximity of each attraction there is a one night stop over in Cusco, where you would book your own accommodation in between the tours.

  • Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu, Peru
    Pick up at 3am - 3:30am. You will be picked up early in the morning to catch the train to Aguas Calientes. The train journey itself is filled with stunning views and will take about 1 hour. You will then bus up to Machu Picchu where you will be given a guided tour of the site and learn about the Inca civilization, visiting all of the highlights of the ruins (2 hours). After you will have the remaining time to explore on your own.

    In the evening you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where a van will be waiting for you to drop you off at your hotel in Cusco.     Next Day Duration: Full Day- 2:15am- 4 or 5pm Distance: 8km/ 5miles Elevation: 4450m (14,600ft) - 5035m (16,520ft) Difficulty: moderate/difficult Hiking time: 3.5 - 4 hours round trip Pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at 2:15am for a 3 hour trip via private van to the start of the trail. You will be given a Peruvian style breakfast to fuel up for the hike ahead of you. The hike will take around 2 hours to get to Rainbow mountain.

    After about an hour at the top you will embark for your hike back down (1.5 hours), where you will have a gourmet lunch prepared by our chef in a traditional mud-house and depart back to Cusco. The experience was amazing and our guide Ricardo was professional, timely, and had lots of insight into the ruins and Inca people. The day is long so be prepared for that, Ricardo prepared us well for the various means of transport. If you are doing it in the summer season then I highly advise to bring sun screen, water and a hat

What an experience this was. Jacob Diaz was my guide and he’s the real deal. I learned so much of Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain’s history due to Jacob’s extensive knowledge. He encouraged me through the toughest parts of the hikes, and he made sure I was comfortable and satisfied with my train commutes, the hotel stay, and meals. I definitely intend on coming back and I would love nothing more than for Jacob to be my guide again. These two days I will never forget. Thank you very much.

both of my guides (Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain) did a fantastic job on the tour. They get a great job explaining the cultural and geographical features of the sites I saw. I feel like I learned a lot and had a great experience. The lunch provided at the end of the Rainbow Mountain tour was delicious.
