The short walk on the Inca Trail is the best option for all those who travel with children, or who simply do not want to do the classic Inca Trail trek of 4 days. Whatever the reason, this trip will show you the best of the archaeological sites and the flora and fauna found along the route.     The train ride to the beginning of our 12km hike was amazing. The hike itself, although challenging was so beautiful- the scenery serene. The little town we stayed at - aquas Calientes was adorable tucked in between mountain peaks with lush greenery.

    Our small group thoroughly enjoyed our 2-day tour of the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. Our guide, Jaime (Yiyo), was knowledgeable, patient, and took excellent care of us from start to finish. His enthusiasm for this area is clear and made the experience even better. We learned so much and felt very safe with Yiyo as our guide. He responded quickly to any needs we had and shared his good humor and personable nature throughout the tour. Highly recommend Inkayni Peru Tours and Jaime (Yiyo) especially!
