We recommend booking hotels in the center of Cusco.
We pick up all travelers from their hotels between 04.00 and 04:30 am.

  • It's recommended to arrive in Cusco at least 2 days before the trek to adjust to the altitude.

Trip was insane with great people and intense hikes and such beautiful views. Felt very accomplished after my 4 day trek. My guide Angel and the rest of the family Justino, Efrain, and Osvaldo were so accommodating and made the trek easier and more exciting. Angel really kept our energy high and positive the entire trek. Was an incredible trek to be a part of.

Best hiking experience ever! Honestly I don't think my wife and I would've made it without "Angel"s positive attitude and encouragement. I can not stress enough how much we enjoyed working with him. He is informative, caring, knowledgeable and respectful. Besides an amazing guide, all the accomodations met or exceeded our expectations. If you are not in shape, like I wasn't you will quickly realize you may need a plan B and a horse to get you to the top. Once I communicated my post operation needs the team was great in giving options and didn't make me feel like I should've known better or like I was bothering the group.

This was an incredible experience! Salkantay Trekking is a very well organized company who looked after as many details as they possibly could so that our trek ran smoothly. Our guides, Yuri and Rogelio, were so amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and every issue was resolved to our satisfaction. They were also incredibly knowledgeable about so many subjects. We learned so many things about Peru and its people. The lodgings were fantastic - so unique, and everything was very clean and well maintained. The food we were served by the chefs was incredible. Not only was the daily menu unique and delicious, but everyone's dietary restrictions was respected so that everyone could enjoy their meals without worry.
