    Would highly recommend using Valencia Travel for any trekking needs. My husband and I were on the 5 day Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu. Everything was well organised from booking to pre-departure to each day of the trek. Loved the fact we stayed at local sustainable locations each night - made it so much more authentic. It was a private tour for the 2 of us. We weren’t the speediest of trekkkers, however our guide, Nico was patient and supportive throughout. The whole team are what made the trek. A massive shoutout to Jobel, who was our dedicated chef for 4 days. Incredible amount of work to cater for our 3 meals a day - all varied, all healthy and enough food to feed the 5,000 (hence we didn’t go hungry!). A lovely surprise was the birthday cake he made for me. His assistant Rolando was also extremely helpful and brought us tea & coffee to our tent each morning and supplied us with snacks as needed. Should also mention Luis our horseman. He did an incredible job getting our belongings moved along the trails from one camp to the next.

    Wilbert was the best tour guide ever. He took amazing care of us from the first day, making us laugh, teaching us about Peru, making us comfortable, and ensuring we’re okay. He made special accommodations when two of us weren’t feeling well and helped us in any way we needed. I am so grateful and would absolutely recommend.
